Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen, nicknamed “the Boss”, is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and bandleader who emerged in the 1970s. His music, often associated with “heartland rock”, captured the working-class experience of the time, connecting with youth and working-class communities. Springsteen's early albums, including Born to Run (1975), Darkness on the Edge of Town (1978), and Born in the U.S.A. (1984), are considered classics.
Born to Run is the third studio album by the American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen, released on August 25, 1975, through Columbia Records. Co-produced by Springsteen with his manager Mike Appel and the producer Jon Landau, its recording took place in New York.
