Travis Tritt's album "Proud Of The Country" is actually a collection of early recordings, not a full-length studio album released by Travis himself. It was released in 1987 on Copperhill Records, a one-off label used by the recording studio, Demo Listen Studio, in Marietta Georgia. It is rumoured that only 1000 copies were made, making it a very rare collector's item .
Thirty years later, in 2017, the album was re-released with two additional bonus tracks. This version is more widely available and can be found on CD and streaming services.
The album features Travis' early influences of Southern rock, blues, and gospel. The title track, "Proud Of The Country", is a patriotic anthem that celebrates his love for his country roots. Other notable songs on the album include "I'm Gonna Do It Anyway" and "Nobody's Gonna Make a Fool Out of Me".
