Monolord - Vaenir Instrumental (Vinyl/Record)

Monolord - Vaenir Instrumental is not a full, separate album, but an instrumental version of their original 2015 album, Vænir. It was released in 2020 by RidingEasy Records. The band decided to create the instrumental version after the positive reception of a similar version of their album Empress Rising.

The instrumental version allows listeners to focus on the music itself, particularly the interplay between the guitar, bass, and drums. Drummer Esben Willems, who also recorded and mixed the album, said that he was surprised at how different the instrumental version sounded from the original. "Listening to the mixes for the instrumental version of Vænir opened an unexpected door," he said. "We seriously didn't expect that the album would take such a different shape and feel in an instrumental version."
