William Martin Joel is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist who has sold more than 150 million records worldwide. His 1973 song "Piano Man" earned him the nickname "Piano Man". Joel's career spanned two decades, from "Piano Man" to his 1993 album River of Dreams, after which he slowed down studio recording. He's known for his songwriting, versatility, and live performances, often touring with Elton John.
