Eagles is the self-titled debut studio album by the American rock band the Eagles, released in June 1972. The album was recorded at London's Olympic Studios with producer Glyn Johns and reached No. 22 on the charts and went platinum. Three singles were released from the album, each reaching the Top 40: "Take It Easy" (number 12), "Witchy Woman" (number 9), and "Peaceful Easy Feeling" (number 22). The band, starting with this album, played a major role in popularizing the country rock sound.

The album was a critical and commercial success, and helped to establish the Eagles as one of the most popular bands of the 1970s. The album's sound was a mix of country, folk, and rock, and its lyrics were often introspective and poetic. The album's success helped to pave the way for the Eagles' subsequent albums, which would go on to sell millions of copies and win numerous awards.
