Fortitude is the seventh studio album by French heavy metal band Gojira. It was released on April 30, 2021, through Roadrunner Records.
The album was recorded at the band's studio in New York City, and was produced by lead vocalist Joe Duplantier, mixed by Andy Wallace (Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine), and mastered by Ted Jensen.
Fortitude marked the longest gap between two Gojira studio albums in the band's career, at five years since their previous album, Magma. The first single, "Another World", was released in August 2020, and the lead single, "Born For One Thing", was released in February 2021, along with the announcement of the album.
The album's lyrical themes focus on environmentalism and mankind's connection to nature, similar to Gojira's previous records. The album received critical acclaim, with many praising the band's musicianship, songwriting, and Duplantier's vocals.
