Daydream Nation is the seventh studio album by American rock band Sonic Youth, released on September 17, 1988, by SST Records. It is considered one of the most influential albums of the alternative rock and noise rock genres.
The album was recorded in two weeks at Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin, with producer Butch Vig.
