Black Sabbath is a four piece band formed in Birmingham, England in 1968. They were pioneers in the creation of heavy metal and doom. Black Sabbath played hard, blues rock and heavy metal.
Cross Purposes is the seventeenth studio album by the English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released through I.R.S. Records on 31 January 1994. The album marked the return of Tony Martin as the band's lead vocalist, after the second departure of Ronnie James Dio.
