Queens of the Stone Age is an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1996. The band was founded by vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme shortly before he returned to his native Palm Desert, California.
Songs for the Deaf is the third studio album by the American rock band Queens of the Stone Age, released on August 27, 2002, by Interscope Records. It features many guest musicians, and was the last Queens of the Stone Age album to feature Nick Oliveri on bass.
