Live at River Plate is a live album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC, released on November 19, 2012. The album was recorded during AC/DC's Black Ice World Tour on December 4, 2009, at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Video footage from the same concert was previously officially released in May 2011 on DVD and Blu-ray as Live at River Plate. This is the band's final release to feature original rhythm guitarist and co-founder Malcolm Young before his retirement in 2014 due to poor health.
The album was a critical and commercial success, reaching number one in several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. It was also the band's first live album to reach number one in the United States since 1992's Live.
The album contains a mix of classic AC/DC songs, such as "Back in Black", "Highway to Hell", and "You Shook Me All Night Long", as well as newer tracks from their 2008 album Black Ice. The album is notable for its high-energy and passionate performances, as well as the enthusiastic response from the crowd.
