Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen, nicknamed “the Boss”, is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and bandleader. His backing band since 1972 has been the E Street Band, and he's released 21 studio albums over six decades. Springsteen is known for songs like “Born to Run”, “Badlands”, and “Born in the U.S.A.”, which address the concerns of the American heartland. 

The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle is the second studio album by the American rock singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen. It was recorded by Springsteen with the E Street Band at 914 Sound Studios in Blauvelt, New York, and released on November 5, 1973, through Columbia Records.
