Cake's Pressure Chief is their fifth studio album, released on October 5, 2004. The album was produced by the band and recorded in a converted house in Sacramento, California. It features the band's signature blend of alternative rock, funk, and country influences, with witty lyrics and catchy melodies.

Two of the album's most popular songs are "No Phone" and "Wheels." "No Phone" is a satirical take on our reliance on technology, while "Wheels" is a more introspective song about the passage of time.

Pressure Chief was Cake's second and last album for Columbia Records. It debuted at number 17 on the Billboard 200 chart, but sales were lower than their previous albums. However, the album has been praised by critics for its songwriting and musicianship, and it remains a favorite among Cake fans.
