Vultures is an EP by the Swedish stoner rock band Dozer. It was recorded in 2004-2005 at Rockhouse Studios in Borlänge, and was released in 2013 on Record Union. The EP consists of six tracks, which were used as pre-production demos for what would later become the fourth Dozer album, 2005's Through the Eyes of Heathens.
The EP was reissued in 2021 on Heavy Psych Sounds Records, with a bonus track, a cover of the Sunride song "Vinegar Fly."
Vultures is a heavy, stoner rock album with a psychedelic edge. The guitars are thick and distorted, the drums are heavy and driving, and the vocals are laid-back and melodic. The songs are long and atmospheric, with plenty of space for the band to jam out.
The EP is a great introduction to Dozer's music. It showcases the band's ability to write catchy, heavy songs with a psychedelic edge. If you're a fan of stoner rock, then you'll definitely want to check out Vultures.
