Hawkwind's fifth studio album, Warrior on the Edge of Time, was released in May 1975. It is considered a classic of space rock and progressive rock, and is one of Hawkwind's most popular albums.

The album's lyrics are loosely based on the concept of Michael Moorcock's novel The Eternal Champion. Moorcock also wrote the lyrics for several of the songs, including "Assault and Battery" and "Magnu".

Warrior on the Edge of Time was a commercial success, reaching number 13 on the UK Albums Chart. It was also Hawkwind's third and final album to make the US Billboard chart, where it peaked at number 150.

The album has been praised for its innovative and psychedelic sound, its complex and thought-provoking lyrics, and its use of synthesizers and other electronic effects. It is considered to be one of Hawkwind's best albums, and is a must-listen for fans of space rock, progressive rock, and psychedelic music.
