Red Hot Chili Peppers - Mother's Milk (Vinyl/Record)

Mother's Milk is the fourth studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on August 16, 1989 by EMI Records. It was the first album to feature guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith, who replaced Hillel Slovak and Jack Irons, respectively.

The album was a critical and commercial success, reaching number 51 on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States and number 11 in the United Kingdom. It was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 1990.

The album's sound was a departure from the band's previous albums, with a heavier emphasis on melody and metal guitar riffs. This was due in part to Frusciante's influence, who had a background in heavy metal.

The album spawned three singles: "Knock Me Down", "Higher Ground", and "Taste the Pain". "Higher Ground" was a cover of Stevie Wonder's song of the same name.
