
Social Distortion - Unplugged is a live album by American punk rock band Social Distortion, released in 1995. The album features acoustic renditions of some of the band's most popular songs, as well as a few covers.
The album was recorded on October 16, 1994, at Studio X in Tempe, Arizona and in a garage in Denver, Colorado. The band was joined by two additional musicians for the recording: John Maurer on mandolin and pedal steel guitar, and David Hidalgo Jr. on accordion.
Unplugged was a critical and commercial success, reaching number 14 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album has been certified platinum by the RIAA, selling over one million copies in the United States.
The album is considered to be one of the best live albums ever recorded. It is praised for its stripped-down arrangements and intimate atmosphere. The album has been credited with helping to popularize acoustic music in the punk rock genre.
