Padmalotus is the second studio album by Italian sludge metal band Nibiru. It was released in 2015 by Argonauta Records. The album was recorded at Aadya's Temple and mixed and mastered by Emiliano "Pilloplex" Pilloni at Soundlab Studio.
The album's four tracks are all long, instrumental pieces that blend sludge metal with elements of psychedelic rock, doom metal, and tribal music. The music is heavy and atmospheric, with slow, lumbering riffs and driving rhythms. The vocals are mostly spoken or chanted, and the lyrics deal with themes of occultism, mysticism, and ancient civilizations.
Padmalotus was well-received by critics, who praised its heavy, atmospheric sound and its unique blend of genres. The album was also a commercial success, reaching number 1 on the Italian Metal Charts.
