Wasteland is the fifth studio album by English doom metal band Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats. It was released on 12 September 2018 through Rise Above Records. The album was produced by K. Starrs and mixed by Chris Fielding.
Wasteland is a concept album that tells the story of a man who travels to a post-apocalyptic wasteland in search of his lost love. The album is heavily influenced by 1970s occult rock and heavy metal, and features elements of psychedelic rock, stoner rock, and doom metal.
The album was met with critical acclaim, with many critics praising its production, songwriting, and atmosphere. Wasteland debuted at number 48 on the UK Albums Chart, becoming the band's highest-charting album to date.
The album was supported by a tour of the United States and Europe.
