The Whirlings' album Earthshine was released on October 18, 2019. It is their third studio album and features five songs that were shaped during the band's long jams and live shows. The album was produced by Lorenzo Stecconi (Zu, Ufomammut, Lento) in the Locomotore Studios in Rome.
The album shows the band's research towards new styles and languages, like in the single Vacuum, that features Vera Claps vocals. The band's will for experimentation is evident also in the use of synthesizers in Lost in Whiteout (again with an important contribution from Stecconi) and in the dialogues overdubbing the “spaghetti western” beat in Reverence.
