Faith:  Washington, D.C.

In 1981, Mike and Ivor from SOA formed a new band with Alec of The Untouchables singing and Chris Baldon bass. They called themselves 'The Faith'. Eddie Janney joined the band in 1983 to play second guitar. While Minor Threat is often held up as the preeminent DC band of the early years, for many of the people living here it was the Faith that they felt the strongest connection to.

Void:  Columbia, Maryland.

30 miles north of DC there’s a town called Columbia, one of the first planned communities built in the US and, in retrospect, the perfect birthplace for a band as chaotic as Void. When Void performed, it was as if each member was playing his own parts as fast as possible, but not necessarily together. To some, it may have seemed like noise, but to those in the know it was music on a higher level.

Faith and Void's split LP. Released in 1982.

This 12" LP was recut from the Silver Sonya re-masters in November 2008 at Chicago Mastering Service.
